Tenants take to social media to highlight the awful conditions they've had to endure

Tenants pay huge sums for rent and sometimes they don't get their money's worth. Many of them have taken to social media under the hashtag #ventyourrent to share their horror stories.

The #ventyourrent campaign was launched by activist group Generation Rent in a bid to highlight the awful conditions faced by people who pay thousands a month to live in sometimes terrible conditions. It started in London and has now spread to the United States. See more pics after the cut
